MARINERS DRAW TOUGH OPPOSITION IN AFC CHAMPIONS LEAGUE

Mariners Coach Phil Moss concedes next year’s AFC Champions League will be one of their toughest yet.

The Central Coast side has been handed a challenging draw in Group F, alongside two-time J-League champions Sanfrecce Hiroshima and Korean heavyweights FC Seoul.

The final team to complete the group is yet to be determined, with the qualifying playoffs still underway.

The Mariners broke a club record last year, making it through to round 16 of the Asian premier competition, only to be knocked out by trophy winners Guangzhou Evergrand.
