The success of a special mentoring program at Kariong’s Frank Baxter Juvenile Justice Centre over the last five years, has been recognised.
The ‘Stand As One’ program helps young men in detention find their feet before re-entering the community.
Some of the centre’s detainees performed cultural dances to celebrate the program, which has so far helped 72 offenders.
