A stolen car set alight in bushland near Medowie caused firefighters a few anxious moments this morning, before a cool change and light rain helped ease the danger.
Meanwhile, at Abermain, Fire and Rescue and RFS teams moved quickly to hem-in a fire, burning close to homes.
Around 50 personnel contained the flare-up, which was reported just before 10am.
Police and fire investigators are looking into the cause of the outbreak.
