A family has lost everything less than a fortnight before Christmas, after an Adamstown home was gutted by fire.
The Victoria Street property went up in flames just before 8 o’clock last night.
Neighbours say they smashed through windows to see if there was anyone inside, moments before the roof collapsed.
“Smoke, we couldn’t see down this road here. Ran down blind pretty much. Heard the guys voices and there was just a lot of crackling, popping.”
No-one was home at the time.
What sparked the blaze is not yet known.
