A 20 knot limit will come into effect for those cruising the Brisbane Water Channel at Ettalong from tomorrow.
A safety review by New South Wales Maritime took into consideration ferry times and the number of water users, before implementing the restriction.
Signage will be installed nearby to let watercraft users know of the changes.
