do the people in numinbah valley who oppose this quad bike tour live in the 18th century still. This young man trying to make a living and working hard to create something that will attract people to the valley and what does he get for it, a bunch of old people complaing that they cant get there midday nap in, cause they can hear the fant noise of a quad bike on a farm. (KEY WORD FARM YOU IDIOTS). how does quad bikes get stolen in such a small little town with one road, and surprize surprize the locals complaining dont hear a thing, what a joke and the people who oppose the tour should be ashamed of themselfs and should come into the 21st century. the tour is attracting business for the other small businesses out there. i have recently been on the tour myself and had a great time, learnt heaps about the valley and the local history and how the bikes work. before going on the tour i had never heard or even knew where the numinbah valley was. congrats on the win with the council Gold Coast ATV Adventures and i hope they catch who ever stole the bikes and you get justice.
Here’s the thing. I lived out there for most of my life and it is a beautiful quiet place and the quad bikes are ruining the place. The people living there are very much in the 21st century and unless you have lived out there, you wouldn’t know why they are complaining. I am against the quad bikes and wish they had never started in the first place. Numinbah Valley was not a very busy place and that’s what makes it good. obviously the other commenter wishes everything was a tourist attraction and should have people flocking to there. I have a creek in my backyard, why don’t you come and make a business out of it. I know most of the people fighting to get rid of the quad bikes personally and i support them. One of them raise horses, the quad bikes come too close to the boundaries and spook them. it has nothing to do with a “Nap”. I would hate to have people continuously coming into the valley. The only tourists we ever had were buses full of people going to see the glow worms and i was fine with that but i wouldn’t want any more. Obviously “Youth of today” doesn’t understand why people are against the bikes and unless they have lived there and had to put up with what the residents of Numinbah Valley have to put up with, they can’t have a say. they are just another outside supporter of a business that is tearing families apart.
hepalopala, what a load of absolute crap. the quad bikes run for a maximum of 4 hour a day, mid morning and mid afternoon. i also have lived in the valley most of my life and i think the quad bikes tours are the best thing for it. we get to show off the beautiful area we live in. i also know who the people are complaining and think they should all grow up and be a bit more mature about how they go about complaining and harassing the tour company. the tour campany have changed the tracks they use to suit people complaining, moved the bikes away from complaining neighbours and look after the property very well by not using the same tracks all the time. i say congrats on the win with the council and good luck. and to the people complaing about it still. i say get over it you lost and thats all there is to it. Its over move on and if you cant, GET A LIFE
I just think that not everything on the Gold coast needs to be a tourist attraction. I think it’s good if they move it away from houses and run for only a couple of hours a day. I just think they should keep it small before they start overloading the place.
The quads were not stolen, this is common local knowledge
Well Jimmy Cricket, if you know where the bikes are, you should report it to the police. You should also be prepared to back it up with evidence but you and I both know you won’t because you can’t. All you have is rumours that were spread by objectors to the business to denegrate the owners. Talk to the police if you’ve nothing to hide, that’s what the owners have continued to do, including hiring a private detective to try to find the bikes. THAT is common local knowledge which can be backed up with evidence!
