INVESTIGATORS SIFT THROUGH ULTRALIGHT WRECKAGE

Police say the pilot involved in yesterday’s fatal ultralight crash near Casino, on the far north coast of New South Wales, was from the local area.
The 27-year-old Georgica man, and his male passenger, both died when the aircraft plummetted into a paddock.
Experts from Recreation Aviation Australia were at the scene today, analysing the wreckage.
Their findings will form part of the police brief for the coroner.
The pair had been on an afternoon flight in near perfect conditions when the crash happened.
Witnesses say one of the wings folded back on itself moments before the ultralight spiralled to the ground.
