The Cancer Council has received a $750,000 boost, following the sale of a Bar Beach property.
The beachside home of the late Grace Cameron, has been auctioned off.
The Cancer Council is one of five charities to receive a share of the sale.
Today, the hammer fell on just over $2.6-million.
“It just allows us to increase our work with our researchers here locally in Newcastle.”
The organisation’s portion, will be spent on cancer research.
