MOWER MAN’S EPIC TRIP ENDS IN NEWCASTLE

A 70 year-old Gold Coast man has completed an epic walkathon with a twist.

Claude Harvey’s journey ended in Newcastle today, after covering 1000 kilometres from Tweed Heads, all while pushing his trusty lawn mower.

The trek, raised more than $60,000 for child protection advocate Bravehearts.

It takes his total fundraising efforts over the last decade to $1-million.

Claude is now heading home to rest his feet before his next walk on the Sunshine Coast at Easter.
