Meanwhile, the Greens unveiled a policy of their own today, pledging to reinstate $900-million in TAFE funding.
During a visit to Newcastle, MLC John Kaye detailed plans to strip government funding from private schools and providers, and reinvest it in public education.
“We believe we can reinstate 1,100 TAFE employees across the state and the 50 that have been lost from the Hunter immediately.”
Mr Kaye argues the changes would also make studying at TAFE free, for the majority of students.
