BLACKSMITHS BREAKWATER RESTORATION UNDERWAY
Work has begun to restore the Blacksmiths breakwater.
The $600,000 project includes lifting the crest a metre and the construction of a concrete path.
Swansea MP Garry Edwards says it will give disabled people easier access to the end of the breakwall.
“It’ll give them more exposure to a beautiful recreational area, you know people can fish from here, they can swim from here, its just brilliant.”
The upgrade is expected to take about seven weeks to complete.
