A 13-year-old boy was allegedly threatened with a screwdriver and assaulted during an altercation in Quinn Street, Tamworth yesterday afternoon.
Police say the victim was approached by a group of youths, including another 13-year-old boy, who allegedly punched him in the head and demanded money.
It’s alleged the offender then produced a screwdriver and continued to demand money, before a relative of the victim called out to the group, causing them to flee.
The offending teenager was charged with assault with intent to rob, armed with an offensive weapon.
