HAZLEWOOD EARNS WORLD CUP BERTH

Bendemeer’s Josh Hazlewood has capped a breakout summer with selection in Australia’s World Cup squad.

The 24-year-old, claimed nine scalps in four matches against South Africa in November.

The fast bowler also added a baggy green to his collection, taking five wickets on his Test debut against India.

Despite his form, his selection was unexpected, after the majority of cricket experts didn’t have him in their squads before it was announced.

Australia’s first match is against England on February 14.
