Police are appealing for witnesses, after a teenaged male, armed with a sword , robbed a 36-year-old woman at Hamilton South today.
The woman was walking along Fowler Street, just before 8am, when the teenager approached her with his face covered and threatened her with a sword before running off with her handbag.
The offender is described as being of Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander appearance, with olive skin, aged between 16 and 20, of slim build with short curly hair.
He was wearing a khaki jumper and black parachute pants.
