Wauchope has moved on to the semi finals of the Country Plate, after downing Inverell by a wicket in Armidale.
Tight bowling from visiting spinner Bailey Smith had Inverell struggling at five for 73 after 31 overs.
The north coast side had been efficient in the field, before Scott Lenard was dropped in the deep as Inverell became desperate for runs.
The fumble meant little though, with the home side dismissed for 121.
Despite the low score, Inverell came close to victory, but Heath Larance’s 29 and Nathan Lyon’s 20 got Wauchope over the line.
