NEWCASTLE ENGINEER NAMED SCIENTIST OF THE YEAR
A chemical engineer from Newcastle has just been named New South Wales Scientist of the year.
Laureate Professor Graeme Jameson from the University of Newcastle is being recognised in Sydney tonight for his enormous contribution to mineral processing.
His ‘Jameson Cell’ technology contributes up to $4-billion to the economy each year, through improved efficiency in separating metals from rock.
The technology is used in more than 20 countries.
