Acciona Ferrovial has been awarded the contract to design and build the Warrell Creek to Nambucca Heads highway upgrade.
The project will see a 20 kilometre stretch of the highway upgraded to a four lane divided road between the Allgomera deviation, south of Warrell Creek and Nambucca Heads.
The $950 million upgrade is jointly funded by the State and Federal governments and is due for completion in late 2016.
