TWO MORE CHARGED OVER LAKE ROBBERY AND SHOOTING

Police have charged two more people in relation to an attempted theft and shooting at Lake Macquarie in February.

On February 7, the four occupants of a 4WD with stolen number plates, allegedly tried to steal an ATM from a shopping complex at Cooranbong.

As a snatch-strap was being connected to the ATM, the group was disturbed when a car was driven into the complex’s carpark. It’s alleged as the group got back into the 4WD, a bullet was fired at the car. The car was hit by the bullet but the witness wasn’t injured.

Police yesterday charged a 20-year-old Bonnells Bay man and a 19-year-old from Middle Brook. Police have charged six people in relation to the incident.
