A 45-year-old man has been charged after he allegedly hit and killed a man while driving in Inverell last month.
The 60-year-old pedestrian was walking along Cameron Street on March 5, when he was hit by a white coloured sedan.
It’s alleged the accused then fled the scene.
The injured man was taken to Inverell District Hospital but later died.
The alleged offender was arrested yesterday afternoon, refused bail and charged with offences including dangerous driving, failing to stop and assist and driving whilst disqualified.
