It’s been a month since New South Wales Premier Mike Baird announced a medicinal cannabis trial.
And now, the move has been welcomed by the Commonwealth as well as states and territories around the country.
The support came after Health Ministers discussed the issue at last Friday’s Australian Governments meeting in Canberra.
A New South Wales working group will set up the medical trial to explore how cannabis can offer relief to patients suffering from a debilitating or terminal illness.
The group is due to report back to the Government by the end of the year.
