The North West’s traditional cricket powerhouse, Tamworth, has named its first Country Cup squad of the summer.
Reigning New South Wales Country player of the year, Tom Groth will captain the side again.
The 15-man squad contains seven players from the side that lost last summer’s final to Hamilton-Wickham.
Young bowlers Jack McVey and Angus McNeil will return after missing the SCG trip due to representative commitments.
Tamworth’s first match is at home against Toronto on November 26.
