T20 BRINGS BIG NAMES TO THE COFFS COAST

More than 200 primary school students from Coffs Harbour have hit the pitch for the T20 Blast schools program, which aims to inspire future cricket stars.

New South Wales Blues players Peter Nevill and Kurtis Patterson took time out of their preseason training for the program and say they’re confident of great things this year.

“It’s been a long preseason to be hones and it’s been a wet preseason unfortunately but all the boys are in good shape and we’re ready to go for round one.”

They also unveiled new sightscreens at the oval as part of the Plan B drink driving campaign.

“It’s just an important way to get the message out to the community that if you’re going to go out and have a few drinks, make sure you have a plan to get home, a plan B.”

The Blues face off with Brisbane in their first one-dayer on October 4.
