Gosford Council is seeking urgent clarification on future funding for the yet-to-be-completed level crossing upgrade on Rawson Road at Woy Woy.
Early estimates suggest the project’s cost could blow out by $63 million, following changes to the design plan.
Stage one, which provided a pedestrian underpass was officially opened last year, but work has since come to a stand-still.
Council says it can’t afford to contribute any more money and is calling on the state government to clarify where the extra money will come from.
