Just when you thought the worst was over, heavy holiday traffic continued along the New England Highway heading into Newcastle today.
Traffic was brought to a slow crawl near Beresfield, after a four-wheel-drive was badly damaged in a collision.
Police are once again urging motorists to take care, with operation Safe Arrival finishing on Monday.
