The big swell is pounding Port Stephens northern shore.
These pictures were shot by Hawks Nest local Brad Morante, this afternoon.
Waves have devoured much of the sand at Jimmy’s Beach and undermined part of the road causing it to collapse.
Locals say its the worst damage they’ve seen in years.
The storm has wiped out a recent sand replenishment project.
