Matt Hall has finished fifth at the latest round of the Red Bull Air Race series, held within the grounds of Ascot Racecourse.
With two straight podiums to his credit, the Australian struggled into tenth in qualifying, his worst result for the season.
Hall managed fourth in the Top 12 round and looked on course for a decent time in the Super Eight run.
“This has been a very efficient performance so far from Matt Hall.”
But the Merewether pilot was edged out of the final by less than half a second.
