Two teenage Gold Coast lawn bowlers have made the under-18 Australian squad after impressive performances in the national junior championships.
17-year-old April Wilson took bronze in the pairs, while Braidan Leese claimed gold in the singles.
“Yeah pretty awesome achievement thats what I was hoping to do, go into it with a bang, its my last nationals.”
“It was a shock to me because my pairs partner wasn’t too well neither was I but we soldiered on.”
They now have a chance to wear the green and gold.
The top five squad performers will take on New Zealand next year.
