NEW DATA SHOWS TAMWORTH AND MOREE HOTSPOTS FOR ANIMAL COLLISIONS

Drivers across the region are being urged to remain alert behind the wheel, after new figures revealed Moree and Tamworth are hotspots when it comes to animal collisions.

In 2013, 93 animals collisions were recorded in Moree, while 90 occurred in Tamworth.

The study also showed kangaroos accounted for 80 per cent of animal-related incidents.
