GP FUNDING TO EASE PRESSURE IN THE NORTHERN RIVERS

In Lismore today, Assistant Minister for Health, Fiona Nash says GP facilities will soon be fixed thanks to a boost in federal government funding.

The Northern Rivers will receive up to $300,000 as part of the national GP Infrastructure Grants Program.

“Provide support to GP practices to improve their facilities so they can actually improve the environment that they’re training in. We know it’s so important that our GP Practices have the support that they need to train our next generation of doctors.”

It’s hoped the program will attract and doctors to regional General Practices.
