Bindaree Beef’s Environmental Impact Statement for a bio-digestor and render plant has been lodged with the Department of Planning and Environment.
The $47-million project involves the installation of a waste water treatment system, which will generate bio-gas from waste products to create energy.
The proposed upgrades are estimated to save $42-million in production costs, with $1.65 million to be spent directly in Inverell.
