Gunnedah Shire Council is investigating claims of a brothel operating in a residential area without council approval.
Preliminary investigations have led council to take the report seriously.
“Essentially there’s been no approval for that, for that establishment if it is operating as a brothel to do so, so we need to investigate whether it is and then determine whether they’ve done so without approval if that’s the case.”
