A plan to double the coal output from the Port of Newcastle by 2013 is no closer to being endorsed by the state government.
Instead the Ports Minister, Joe Tripodi, today announced a different proposal to improve the coordination of coal ship arrivals.
But that’s been slammed by the Opposition, which says the real issue is loading capacity.
