The Newcastle Jets have signed defender Sam Gallagher for the 2014/15 A-League season.
The 23-year-old joins the Jets from Vietnamese Club Hanoi, but has also had stints at clubs, Central Coast Mariners and Melbourne Victory.
Head coach, Phil Stubbins says his signing gives depth across the backline.
“I think he’s got a lot of confidence from the experience he’s had in Asia and he’s learnt a hell of a lot from his time over there as well.
“He’s a good kid who is hungry for success and we’re pleased to have him in Newcastle.”
