A 29 year old man has been charged after allegedly attacking a female police officer at Woy Woy.
Police allege the man smashed a window and threw a cooking pot at the senior constable, knocking her unconscious.
The assault occurred yesterday afternoon when police went to arrest an 18 year old man and 13 year old boy at a Nambucca Drive address for an alleged assault matter.
The officer received treatment at Gosford hospital for an injured jaw and severed tendon in her hand.
