QUIRINDI RSL RECEIVES COUNCIL APPROVAL TO EXPAND CAR PARK
After several months of public debate and changes to conditions, the Liverpool Plains Shire Council has allowed the Quirindi RSL to expand its car park to adjoining land.
The club will expand its 20 car park spaces to 34.
The development application was criticised by nearby residents who raised concerns over increased traffic and loitering in the small avenue behind the premises.
To satisfy these concerns, amendments were made to the DA, which ensured security would be tightened, extra lighting would be installed and CCTV cameras may be considered.
