Today, students from St Nicholas’ Primary School in Tamworth were surprised when the Westpac Rescue Helicopter landed on the school’s oval.
The visit came after the school successfully completed the Lifesaver Helicopter Schools program.
Students were impressed by the $3 million aircraft, but senior Pilot David Davies revealed Tamworth will be receiving an upgrade in the near future.
“He’s gonna bring another helicopter twice as big as that one, and it’s going to cost $15 million, the aircraft we’re looking at.”
