Police are appealing for information after a hooded man attempted to hold-up a Pizza Hut in Cessnock over night.
The man entered the Allandale Road shop at about 6pm, wearing a black and white hooded jumper and red shoes, before he pulled out a long brown handled knife and demanded cash.
The staff refused and the man was last seen running down Church Street.
