Congratulations to the NBN team for sustaining balanced reporting throughout the events ensuing from the historic Laman Street canopy. Your images and words in this latest report showed community sensitivity, something visibly absent in the behaviour of many public servants.
It is Certainly a difficult thing to let go for any proud Novacastrian, an iconic lined street decorated with towering old figs that sheltered the commuting citizens, they displayed a natural history of strength, age & beauty. The idea of danger was one reason to announce their removal & this angered the locals & any other excuse as then they saw it so one can surely understand their disappointments.
