Currumbin surfer, Jade Wheatley, has a pretty compelling reason to win the opening event of the Women’s Surfing Series at Palm Beach this weekend.
The 17-year-old will compete in the under 21 girls AND open category, vying for a coveted wildcard for next year’s Roxy Pro at Snapper Rocks.
“That would mean to me, probably a really good goal. I’d come up against the best girls in Australia and get a chance to surf against my idols really.”
Jade is fresh from a win at the Oz Grom Cup in Coffs Harbour.
