Newcastle councillor Tim Crakanthorp has won ALP preselection for the state seat of Newcastle.
He says he’ll campaign to keep the port sale proceeds in the Hunter.
Mr Crakanthorp claimed the party ballot ahead of fellow councillor, Nuatali Nelmes.
