INVESTIGATION CONTINUES INTO HORROR MOREE CRASH

A critical incident investigation into a car crash that left one man dead and another hospitalised near Moree on Monday night is ongoing, as police work to determine what led to the crash.

The two men were travelling in a Holden sedan along the Carnarvon Highway when it left the road and hit a tree, throwing them from the vehicle.

Police say they were attempting to catch up to the pair, who had just moments earlier passed an RBT site.

One man died at the scene.

The other, a 24-year-old from Moree, was airlifted to John Hunter Hospital, where he remains in a critical condition.
