Police have laid an additional charge on a 41-year-old man following violence at the Jets and Wanderers match in Newcastle over the weekend.
Today an 18-year-old man attended Waratah Police Station to report he had been punched in the face at the game.
Shortly before 9am today police arrested the 41-year-old man at Woodberry, who was earlier charged with assaulting police.
He was given strict bail conditions to appear at Newcastle Local Court next month.
