A huge blow for Gold Coast tourism, with a major airline pulling the pin on an international route.
Jetstar are cancelling their three times weekly service from the Gold Coast to Osaka, saying it’s just no longer viable, the route wasn’t perfoming and it’s a response to the current state of Australian aviation.
In a statement they said “demand from Osaka was not as strong as that from Tokyo.”
