New South Wales Attorney-General Greg Smith has officially approved Tamworth’s latest Regional Crime Prevention Plan.
Although its principles were adopted in April, the plan needed further approval to be eligible for state funding assistance.
It is hoped the extra money will help prevent ‘priority offences’, identified in March as break and enter, and harassment.
Now it has the green light, Tamworth Regional Council will officially apply for funding in the coming weeks.
