JOYCE CONTINUES INDONESIAN NEGOTIATION
Member for the New England Barnaby Joyce is continuing negotiations to reschedule a cancelled business trip to Jakarta for discussions about live exports.
The trip was initially postponed due to the spying scandal.
The federal government sees a renewed agreement as integral to maintaining a trade relationship with the East Asian nation.
Despite the set back, cattle farmers are expected to see the benefits of a new agreement in the near future.
“The orders that we’re getting in are extremely encouraging. It means that so many people are now searching for the cattle to fill the orders for the live cut trade into Indonesia.”
