$250,000 DRUGS SEIZED BELIEVED TO BE DESTINED FOR SCHOOLIES CELEBRATIONS

Gold Coast police say they’ve intercepted a cocaine haul , believed to have been destined for schoolies celebrations.

Police seized about a kilo of the party drug, with an estimated street value of around $250,000, during a raid on a Surfers Paradise high-rise apartment yesterday afternoon.

Police also allegedly uncovered amphetamines, steroids, cannabis and about $12,000 in cash.

Three people have been arrested over the haul.
