WEATHER UPDATE: RAIN HEADED FOR SOUTH EAST QLD

We’re currently keeping watch of ex-tropical Cyclone Oswald, which is still dumping huge amounts of rain across north Queensland.

It’s headed for south east Queensland tomorrow and Saturday, and to NSW early next week.

The system’s been moving south, following the coast – bringing flooding rain, strong wind gusts and large seas.

Meanwhile, masses of cloud over northern NSW and southern Queensland is generating thunderstorms.

To the synoptic chart, tomorrow the monsoon low will again edge further south.

And a trough will continue to generate storms in southern Queensland and northern NSW, plus hot northerly winds in western NSW.
