It was the local golfers who dominated competition at the Ladies Armidale Jug tournament over the weekend.
Christine McNamara and Jenny Benton won yesterday’s competition with a score of 43 points on a count back.
The two-day event attracted more than 170 competitors, 30 more than last year.
“The jug’s been played since 1952, continually and it’s always a very prestigious event for the Armidale ladies.”
