TAREE WILDCATS STILL ON TOP

The Taree Wildcats remain on top of the Mid North Coast Premier League ladder, after defeating Camden Haven 3-nil in a catch-up clash last night.

They now sit a comfortable eight points ahead of Wallis Lake.

Reigning premiers, Macleay Valley, have moved up one place to third, while Port FC hold fourth position.

The Port Saints look certain to walk away with this year’s wooden spoon, with just six points.

Meanwhile heading into round 14, the Wildcats will take on the Rangers in what’s expected to be a tough re-match of last year’s grand final.

If successful, Taree will be in good stead to take home the minor premiership.

In other matches, the Redbacks will go head-to-head with Kempsey, while Tuncurry-Forster will host Port United.
