Gold Coast Suns are expecting a bumper crowd in their opening round fixture against Richmond Tigers on Saturday March 15.
It will be the Tigers first game at Metricon stadium.
“We’ve played them the last three years in Cairns. We’ve developed a bit of a rivalry there, winning two of those three games and Richmond will be keen to make up for that, and they have a hug supporter base, big membership base and they’ll travel.”
The Suns have eight Saturday games throughout the year, across a range of different time slots.
